John Legend: Chrissy Teigen Was Very Excited About ‘Sports Illustrated’ Cover
John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen are both incredibly excited about her appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
The famous model recently took off her top for the cover of the publication’s annual Swimsuit Issue. In addition to Teigen, the Sports Illustrated cover features Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge. The trio’s revealing photo is sure to make quite a few folks very happy.
Proving that he’s supportive of whatever his wife chooses to do with her career, John Legend told Good Morning America that he’s incredibly excited about Teigen’s involvement with the Swimsuit Issue.
“She cried like a baby she was so excited. And it was a surprise because you never really know who’s going to be on the cover. She’s been in the issue for several years now and every year it’s been someone else. And then this year, it was her,” the singer said.

Considering the news they recently received, chances are John Legend and Chrissy Teigen will have an incredible Valentine’s Day. However, the model recently explained that Legend doesn’t really need a reason to express how much he loves her.
“John`s always the sweetest thing. I`m happy cooking at home, but John will be planning something sexy elsewhere (for Valentine`s Day). He`s romantic year-round, not just the holiday,” Teigen said during a recent interview.
The model also said married life is nothing short of blissful. She added, “I’m excited. It’s been great so far… I’ve been with Chrissy for a long time, and knew that I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life and wanted to have kids with her and all of that, and I really didn’t have any fear. Once I decided to do it, I decided lets go for it.”
While John Legend and his wife are celebrating her appearance on the cover of Sports Illustrated, the magazine recently came under fire for putting Barbie in a swimsuit. However, the publication stands firmly behind the decision.
“From its earliest days, Swimsuit has delivered a message of empowerment, strength and beauty and we are delighted that Barbie is celebrating those core values in such a unique manner,” swimsuit editor M.J. Day said in a recent statement. Of course, this didn’t stop the backlash from building to deafening levels.
