Lady Gaga Wants To Open A Michael Jackson Museum [Rumor]
Lady Gaga is reportedly interested in opening a museum dedicated to Michael Jackson.
The singer owns enough of the late performer’s possessions that she’s seriously considering opening her own museum. Reports suggest that Mother Monster has approximately $1.25 million worth of items that once belonged to the King of Pop in her collection.
Since all of this stuff is just siting around somewhere, Lady Gaga wants to share the items with Michael Jackson’s loyal fans. According to an anonymous source, the singer has seriously kicked around the idea of putting the objects on public display.
“Gaga is a huge Michael fan, and she feels that there needs to be a real museum to celebrate his life and work. She has been stocking up on items from all over the world,” a source recently told the Mirror.
The insider continued, “Some of her purchases have been under different names so that she is not overpaying for artifacts. But now she has a few pieces she is planning out the next stage of where the location for the museum should be.”
However, the source claimed Lady Gaga still isn’t sure where she intends to open the Michael Jackson museum. Although Gary, Indiana is a possibility, the singer is also interested in showcasing the collection in either New York City or Los Angeles.
If the “Applause” singer intends to move forward with the project, then she’ll have to seek approval from Michael Jackson’s estate. Although this information arrived courtesy of an anonymous source, this certainly isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Lady Gaga’s plans for a Michael Jackson museum in recent years.
“I will put together a museum and put the money to a foundation he cares about. The reason I bought Michael’s clothes was because my tour clothes mean more to me than anything, my awards, records. I believe they carry the energy and memories of the night,” she said.
Gaga continued, “With Michael’s clothes being sold when he was not here made me feel really uncomfortable, upset and I don’t why. I take care of them – they are in the right temperature and are preserved. I have spent millions.”
The Inquisitr previously reported that Lady Gaga snagged 55 pieces that once belonged to Michael Jackson during a Los Angeles auction in 2012. The singer explained that she intended to have all of the items “archived and expertly cared for in the spirit and love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, and fans worldwide.”
