Rick Santorum: Satan Uses Hollywood Like The Devil’s Playground
Rick Santorum says Satan is using Hollywood like the devil’s playground. But it’s possible that’s just marketing speak.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Rick Santorum switched from politics to making Christian movies.
If you don’t recall, Rick Santorum was one of the contenders in the 2012 Republican primaries who lost to Mitt Romney. Back in June of this year, Rick Santorum joined EchoLight Studios as their CEO. This faith-based movie studio is producing a movie they call The Christmas Candle.
The family film stars Les Miserables‘ Samantha Barks and Susan Boyle and is based on Max Lucado’s book about the Christmas miracles that occur every 25 years in a small candle-lit English village. Rick Santorum believes movies should “portray faith as it really is” without having to preach. These films will be based upon “true-life stories” and he wants them to be “comfortable” for those who are not Christians.
Thing is, Rick Santorum believes Hollywood will oppose his company’s efforts:
“This is a tough business, this is something that we’re stepping out… and the devil, for a long, long time, has had this, these screens, for his playground. And he isn’t going to give it up easily.”
Rick Santorum was speaking to a TBN audience in hopes of promoting the new movie.
