Angry Birds headed to Facebook in May
Although I write about apps, gaming and Facebook every day on this very blog, I must confess to a shocking level of ignorance when it comes to Angry Birds.
Yes, it has lived on my iPhone from time to time. I don’t know what the objective of the game is, but I do know it distracts my kids asking me to stop the car for slushees when I’m just trying to get milk and bread and glue sticks before the shops close, so whatever it is, it is an excellent invention in my book. Oh, and it’s headed to Facebook in May, The Next Web has confirmed.
The Facebook version of Angry Birds was actually originally rumored for March or April, but users can expect some new Angry Birds functionality when the game finally meets the social network:
The Facebook game is said to have “completely new aspects to it that just haven’t been experienced in any other platform,” according to Rovio CEO Mikael Hed. The Rovio chief also mentioned that the game would leverage Facebook’s ‘collaborative nature’, giving the pigs “a more prominent role”.
Do you plan on adding the Angry Birds game app when it’s released on Facebook?
